Peter & Renee’s RSC Tower Top Wedding
Peter & Renee’s RSC Tower Top Wedding
This is the lovely wedding of Peter and Renee, who married at the top of the tower at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon. I first met Renee last year when we discussed the details, and since then I had been itching for the wedding to come around. Now, I don’t have much of a head for heights, but luckily I had plenty to concentrate on whilst the ceremony was taking place!
I photographed Peter, Renee, their children and bridesmaids all getting ready at their house in Stratford and I could tell from the offset that this was going to be a day enjoyed by all. The flowers had been delivered by the time I got there. They were done by good friend Amanda Luther Flowers, which were (of course!) stunning! Once everyone was dressed, we made our way into town and to the RSC. Peter arrived first which gave us time to take some groomsmen shots outside and then the beautiful Renee arrived. Once the group photographs were taken care of, we went inside and whilst the couple were having their interview with the registrars, the guests and I went up to the 8th floor of the tower to take in the amazing views and wait. There isn’t a great deal of space up there, and that was one of my worries, how to take those key photographs whilst not being in everyones way. The guests were split half and half round the corner, and luckily I managed to find a space right at the front whilst still being fairly inconspicuous. There were a lot of tears which was so lovely and the ceremony was stunning with those views in the background.
After the formalities were taken care of, champagne and canapés were served up there so that everyone could have a laugh, a chat, a catch up and of course stare at the 360 degree views of Stratford and the river Avon.
Once we were done up there we went down to the front of the theatre to take the group photographs and throw the all important confetti, which (being a windy day!) just shot straight up in the air! After I had photographed Peter & Renee by the river in the shade of a willow tree, we had time to sit and wait for the boat that was taking them to their reception. I even had a chance for an ice cream, bonus! I left them all as the boat was sailing down the river and I wish them both the very happiest of marriages.
“Hello! Just LOVE the pics!! Thank you so so much!!!” “Thanks a million! I just loved having you around, still smiling when I think of what fun we had!! Love the photos and online sharing!” Renee 24th May 2015
2014 round-up of Commercial Photography Warwickshire
Heck, it has been a long time since I last did a blog on this website, and I suppose that is testament to how busy I have been in 2014. I have done my usual mix of property photography, jewellery photography, portraits, head shots, product photography bump to baby shoots, photoshoots for companies and …. mixed with 20 weddings, all in and
around Warwickshire.
I have photographed at local events, most notably the Shipston Proms and The Shipston Food & Beer Festival. These are fantastic, as they raise my profile in the local area,
and I can have some fun with the photographs.
Please take a look back with me at what has been an amazing year for my commercial photography work.

Product Photography Warwickshire
Recently, Charlotte Wright Photography has undertaken an awful lot of product photography in Warwickshire. So busy in fact that I had two photographers working either in our photographic studio or out on location, both myself and my father, Chris Wright Photography and also my assistant (another Chris!) back in the office working up all the images. What a hive of activity! We each played to our strengths; Chris Wright is fantastic in the studio, so photographed the majority of the studio work whilst I was out on location taking the interior photography and portrait photography, and Chris, my assistant, was editing images as well as picking up and dropping off products to and from the clients.
The week of the 14th of October was when it all started, with myself meeting in Shipston on Stour with a lovely lady called Kate King who works at Ivy Heart for a list and a run down of the weeks jobs. I was to photograph products, interiors and head shots of 10 shops and their owners in Shipston on Stour for the Shipston Card‘s Christmas brochure. It was a very full on job, squeezing all that into just 3 days as well as the other jobs that could only be done that week!
We photographed for:
Ivy Heart, Shipston on Stour,
The Richard Harvey Collection, Shipston on Stour
Lucy Walker Flowers, Shipston on Stour
North Cotswold Brewery, just outside of Shipston on Stour
Niche Clothing, Shipston on Stour
Sheldon’s Wine Cellars, Shipston on Stour
Taste of the Country in Shipston on Stour
Shipston on Stour Therapy Centre
In the early part of that same week, Chris was photographing the last few items for Howard Jewellers‘ Christmas Brochure and C.A.Rookes Wine Merchants in Stratford Upon Avon. The latter part of the week saw the next job on the Friday. It was more product photography was for an auction company called Silverstone Auctions. This job was to photograph watches from Christopher Poel Watches in Stratford Upon Avon and jewellery. This was all for a brochure for an upcoming auction at the NEC.
Chris and I shot around 290 images that week and all were processed and sent out by Monday 21st October. Not bad for a weeks work!

Flowergirl dress photoshoot for Village Brides the Long Compton bridal shop, Warwickshire
Compton Verney Photoshoot for the Long Compton Bridal Shop, Village Brides
I was asked by Village Brides to take some photographs of their beautiful new range of flower girl dresses and page boy suits. We went on a lovely sunny day to the amazing Compton Verney House and photographed in the grounds. The children behaved so well. I had never done a photoshoot with children before, so I was slightly nervous, but the photographs came out really well. It was nice to have the run of the grounds at Compton Verney, I would love to shoot a wedding there!
Village Brides of Long Compton are a great bridal shop, I cannot recommend them enough! Please take a look at their website for further details – http://www.village-brides.co.uk

So yes, it does just look like I have been photographing a million and one weddings this summer, but I have actually been busy doing a few other jobs too! The beauty of having had an assistant this Summer is that whilst I am out photographing, I know work is being done back in the office, so I have been able to take on nearly twice as much work.
To start with, I have been doing a fair bit of commercial work, corporate group photographs, product pictures and quite a few headshots. Below are just a few of these…
I did a lovely little job as well photographing the Stratford Upon Avon Concert band on location in Stratford, which was great fun and I was really pleased with the outcome.

Charlotte Wright personal piccies from Summer 2013
Whilst working what has seemed like every day of the summer, I have managed to actually get out there and have a bit of fun!
I have been to Wales twice, and gone along to a few local events around Stratford upon Avon and Shipston on Stour, plus I now have a new mode of transport! I have purposefully not taken my camera with me on any trips away, as I just know I would take a million photos, as besides, I was on holiday! So apologies for any quality issues, as some of these were taken on my phone.

Bump to Baby Photography!
Bump to Baby Photography
Well there seems to have been a bit of a baby boom in Shipston on Stour this year, and just one of the lovely couples who were expecting were two good friends of mine Ema & Tom Wilson. Now I don’t normally do bump or baby photography, but I do know that I really should, as it is the next, natural progression after wedding piccies and as Ema is not someone you can easily be allowed to say no to, I thought I would use it as practise!
I photographed Ema about a week before she was to give birth, and she was rather reluctant to do the ‘twee’ photographs that I wanted to play with, but she was finally persuaded! We knew the baby was going to be a boy, hence the blue ribbon (it was originally orange though, good old Photoshop!), but the name was a big secret. Around a week after I took the photographs, little baby Bailey came into the world, what a cutie! Then around 2 weeks later we met back up for another photoshoot where I got to meet the little man, what an honour!
