Well Hello!

Firstly, Happy New Year, rather belated, I have had a very busy December and January, some work and quite a bit of play! This blog has some personal piccies in, some wedding photography and commercial photography in Warwickshire.

So at the end of my last blog, I mentioned a wedding that I had photographed. This took place in the latter part of November when most of the UK and certainly Shipston-on-Stour were underwater. This was for the lovely now Emma & Luke Shrimpton.

The day started well, pouring down with rain, welly’s at the ready, flood warnings everywhere, but as the bride appeared in a bright orange VW Campervan, out came the sun!

Although it didn’t last too long, the weather did hold off. There was a small hiccup in proceedings that we couldn’t get to the reception venue via the normal route, so after checking out lots of other roads. We eventually got there well after dark, so the photographs then, unfortunately taken inside, but do these look like a bunch to be downheartened!?

It was a brilliant day, and most of Shipston Excelsior Football Club Sunday reserve’s showed their true colours whilst performing the Macarena…!

I then had a lovely little job of a family photoshoot, a very chilly and frosty day, but there were plenty of dogs on hand to keep our hands warm.

Time then trucked on, and before I knew it my birthday and Christmas were upon us. I decided to do a personal project of ‘365 days, 365 photos’, where one photograph that sums up my day is taken and put online. Work was quiet, but it was nice to have a break and have a little mini-break away to York, staying first in a Spa Hotel nearby and then to York itself visiting the amazing Shambles.

Over a very muddy Christmas period, Dad and I photographed some stunning houses and some very muddy building sites together for my main client.

I can’t put the photographs of the private houses up online unfortunately, but I did do some other property photography in December too; two holiday cottages in a local village.

Before I knew it, it was January, and whilst the month started quietly, it very quickly picked up pace, and before I knew it, I was run off my feet! I had a successful meeting with a new client, where I will be editing images taken by someone else. I had a ‘trial run’ on some test photographs for her…

I was then back photographing for my main client, this time woodlands and a rather amazing sculpture.

I have a ball for this client, I adore the work I get from him and the people I get to meet. Ooh doesn’t that sound brown-nosey!

PLUS! Most exciting of all, and in-amongst everything for the last 3 months, I have been playing weddings with one of my very best friends, Miss was-Gemma-Johnson-now-Gemma-Williams, who very beautifully got married just 2 days ago.  I am yet to go through the hundreds of photographs that I took, but here are just a couple to wet the appetite until both she and her new husband Stuart have seen them. Congratulations to them both we all had a ball!
